Visit the Todd Mercantile. The best cinnamon rolls!! This is by far the neatest small town hidden along the new river. A step by in time.

Only a 10 minute drive from the cabin, driving down Big Hill Road, follow along the New River. The Todd General Store and Todd Mercantile may be open, but not necessarily. Call first.

Todd, NC, straddling the county line of Watauga and Ashe Counties in the NC mountains, lies at about 3000’ elevation. Todd is an adorable little area with some cute shops. Most of the tubing trips on the new river will start there. It takes 20-25 minutes to drive there from Sutherland Manor. Or you can always play in our creek across the road!

A gem of a southern town. Stop in and visit RiverGirls Fishing Co, Todd Mercantile and Todd General Store. Nestled on the New River plenty of water related activities nearby.
