Picturesque Lynmouth provides a romantic escape from modern living with its rows of charming fishing cottages and shops that cluster around the pretty harbour of gently bobbing boats. Lynton perched high above is a vibrant Victorian village retaining a quaint mix of times present and times past.
A really pretty village connected to Lynton by the funicular railway. Well worth visiting.
There are very steep access roads into Lynmouth with stunning views into & out of this beautiful village. In 1952 there was a disastrous flood that washed away some half of the village. It now has shops, hotels, & pubs. Across a bridge is a lovey beach with cliffs behind.
A pretty harbour town with interesting rocky beach beneath spectacular cliffs. Famous for the 1951 flood disaster and its historic cliff railway connecting it to Lynton
