Think traveling is difficult today? Come find out the challenges of those who were traveling in the 1830s. Picnic area is available on the grounds and lots of interesting displays for the whole family are at the visitor's center. Summer there are often concerts in the amphitheater. Enjoying your day learning about canal and railroad travel? You're very close to Gallitzin and the still used today rail tunnel which was an engineering achievement when it was built. There's a nice park for the kids, a movie in the community building and a train watching space on the bridge that's an experience. I'm sure you're hungry by now and we recommend The Boxcar in Lily for recharging.
