In the heart of historic Annapolis, its central building, McDowell hall is one of the oldest in Annapolis. And its modernist Mellon Hall (designed by Richard Neutra) contains the Mitchell Art Gallery, a small venue for ranging exhibits of high quality.

St. John's College was founded in 1696. It is a private liberal arts college in the heart of Annapolis. The campus is beautiful and worth a visit.

This is one of the oldest colleges in the country and absolutely beautiful. Founded in 1696, the college continues to provide an education using the "Great Books" program. With less than 500 students, almost 3/4 of the graduates go on the grad school.
