The Peterboro is my take on a Chinese restaurant. It’s a little bit like Mission Chinese. The bar takes up a third of the restaurant, so cocktails are very prevalent in the scene. Just bellying up to the bar and letting the bartender walk you through the cocktail menu is your best bet. We’ve got a great cocktail program that’s very tied to the kitchen, so we’re using all kinds of ingredients that Chef Brion Wong is making, or doesn’t want, or he’ll just show up with — like five gallons of lemongrass syrup. The chef has a lot of influence over what goes on the cocktail menu.

Unique twist on Asian food. Can be a little pricey but worth it!

DETROIT | Midtown. Brick building. Red neon tiger head on the outside as sign. Red and jade colored decor. Asian fusion sexy. The almond chicken is pretty yummy, smaller portions than a regular Chinese restaurant, so keep that in mind. Let's see....the calamari was delicious. The drinks were unique. The vegetable of the day was so good, bok choy both times. They also have a curved bar, perfect for 2. Love.

Good "New American Chinese" restaurant with a great bar in a burgeoning neighborhood. Good prices and a cool scene, not too crowded or hip either. Just three blocks walking distance from the loft. Worth checking out.
