“Saunton is super popular with longboarders, and is a great beginner beach. You’ll see the longboarders bunched together near the rocks (where a handy rip-current makes getting out easier on big days). Saunton beach is HUGE! The carpark gets full (go early), but if you walk for a few minutes down the beach you’ll find tons of space. “The best curry house in my opinion. And worth the journey into Barnstaple. What is my favourite dish.... all of them but the railway lamb curry is amazing. You will need to book. 01271 322 299 / www.gangesbaarnstaple.co.uk. They do have a take away menu but don't deliver to Ilfracombe. But I have been know to collect and it is still warmth to enjoy back home. ”
