Warum Einheimische es empfehlen

Most people think Twin Peaks is the highest point in San Francisco—false, Mt. Davidson is, and it’s a much cooler spot. The trail is basically a spiral that wraps around the hill all the way to the top. When the dense fog comes in, it can be spooky as hell, but it’s super cool. Every time I’m up here I catch the cool local high school kids making out. There’s a massive cross at the very top to remember the victims of the Armenian genocide.

360 degree view of San Francisco and bay area. Super close but much less touristic than twin peaks for the view of SF.

It's the highest point in San Francisco, but few tourists go there. There's a lovely trail that begins on Juanita Way, just one block south of Portola Drive. The hike up and down takes an hour or so. Great panoramic views. Also a giant cross that commemorates the Armenian genocide of a century ago. There is a large Armenian community in California, and they erected, and care for, the cross. The land around it is a public park.

Take a 20 minute hike to the highest point in the city. (Yes, it's higher than Twin Peaks!)

If you're up for an ambitious run, head up to the cross at the top of Mount Davidson Park. Also the scene in one of Clint Eastwood's films (he doesn't talk to a chair ... get it?)

Tallest peak in the city. Better views than twin peaks. 15 minute hike to the top. Less people. If you look from our roof deck you will see it with the big cross on top.
