In the center of LA near the Grove is a museum featuring many excavated fossils from what was a massive tar pit 11,000 years ago. It is also within walking distance to the LA County Museum of Art (LACMA), which has rotating exhibitions and some cool places to take a selfie.

Fun place to take the family. Go to the museum and then have a picnic in the garden. Bring a blanket and listen to live music on the weeks! Jazz in the park is always my favorite. Look online to see the schedule and what events they have going on.

The La Brea Tar Pits is the last of it's kind. How often are scientists STILL discovering relics from the dinosour age? only here will you find this kind of culture.
