The two-hour drive to get from Kuta to the base camp was worth the effort. The lake and constantly changing scenery makes an interesting start to the day. At first the komodos seem slow but once you start on the tracks you appreciate that you need power not speed for the day. It was a fun day for all. The dinner and the sunset at the end of the day were both excellent.
