Best avocado dip and plantain chips starter. Exotic taco meats as well 🤤. There are multiple el cartels, closest one would be on Thistle street but they don’t take bookings and are usually busy but okay if it’s a small group walk-in. The other location is Teviot place, it is further into old town but well worth the trek as you can reserve a table.

Simply the best tacos in town. Great food. Great margaritas (shaken recommended). Great music. No bookings taken, and it does get busy, but you can put your name down and go across the street to Bon Vivant for a pre-meal cocktail (they even have suggested cocktails for those waiting for an El Cartel table).
