Extraordinarily beautiful cemetery. Bonus point if you spot all four former New York Mayors resting in peace.
Only active cemetery in Manhattan, beautiful cemetery with many revolutionary war tombs.
Opened 1697. Graciousness sufficient to insure heavenly salvation. The likes of Audubon, Mme. Jumel, & Ed Koch preside over goth wonders. Suitable for dark humors. If it's any consolation, local historian Eric Washington's guided tours are among the best you'll take of anywhere.

Point of Interest
“The first building opened in 1907 and housed the American Numismatic Society. Soon followed by the Hispanic Society of America. In 1909-1912 the Spanish-language Church of Our Lady of Esperanza was built and the Museum of the American Indian joined in 1922. In 1923 the American Academy of Arts and Letters moved into a building. At its center, in front of the main building of the Hispanic Society of America, stands a monument honoring El Cid Campeador.”
