Surrounded by guildhalls, the city's Town Hall and the Breadhouse, this square, which was set-up by the end of the 11th century, is one of the most important memorable landmarks in Brussels. It measures 68 by 110 metres and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

History Museum
“And an art nouveau masterpiece that is home to the Musical Instrument Museum of Brussels (MIM). Rue Montagne de la Cour 2, 1000 BruxellesThis museum is totally worth a visit and one of the top things to do in Brussels for music lovers . On display here are truly unique instruments that are exquisite pieces of art in their own right (my faves are the ornately decorated pianos that are adorned with beautiful etchings and paintings of all kinds). Here you can explore more than 2,000 instruments, but the best you can also listen to them! After that you may feel a little hungry. A problem that is easy to fix since the MIM restaurant is located on the tenth floor of the building. Tip: The restaurant is accessible free! From this restaurant you have a breathtaking view of Brussels. Unfortunately, it is often overcrowded - but if you are lucky you can enjoy a delicious Sunday, brunch buffet here. Should it be too crowded the Kwint could be a very good alternative.”
