One of the largest man-made parks in the world, was built on a landfill in Guanabara Bay. Has a huge array of facilities, sporadic shows and attractions, sports, dog and jogging runs, paths, exercise equipment. But the Bay is polluted, so no swimming!

Also know as "Aterro do Flamengo", it's a nice place for practicing outdoor sports as skating, rollers, slackling, cycling, running, etc.

A short hop to the Marina from the hostel will give you stunning view of the boats of Rio. Most competitions are housed here in the bay. The Party boats also leave here!

Every Sunday morning the park is closed to cars and the invaded population: bike, rollerblade, skateboard, model aircraft, to walking, to sunbathing ... Beware of pickpockets, many.
