Stoke Newington, just north of Dalston, is a prosperous, leafy area full of nice pubs and cafes. Check out Clissold Park on a sunny day, or The Good Egg for brunch (make a reservation if you can, or wait in the queue with a take away coffee and people watch).
Cafes and small boutiques and very close to Clissold Park. Another great spot for a wander..
Lovely quiet local neighbourhood with lovely shops, restaurants, pubs and art galleries.
A marriage of a trendy London quarter and a quaint peaceful village. Head to Stoke Newington Church Street to experience a mix of cafes, boutiques, coffee shops, churches and green spaces.
Village-y feeling middle class Stokey is full to the brim with indie cafes, pubs and shops. We love it and would totally live there if they only had a Tube stop!
Bougie and cute. Clisshold park is great for a stroll. Some nice shopping on Church St. Lots of great food and drink options.
Stoke Newington is family friendly and full of independent shops, cafes to markets.

“Busy Dalston is centred on Kingsland Road, home to vintage fashion stores, hip cocktail bars, and basement clubs. Stalls at Ridley Road Market sell fruit, vegetables, and household goods. Traditional Turkish eateries sit alongside cool global restaurants and Caribbean shops, while indie bands play at EartH and the Shacklewell Arms, and the Vortex hosts jazz. The Arcola Theatre presents innovative drama.”
