Situated on a cosy place (ressembling to an Italian piazza), the façade was designed by Rubens. Regularly concerts are given in the church.

Such a cosy and fun square! Pay a visit and maybe you get lucky to watch a wedding party.

The only Baroque church in the city from 1626. It is also called the Rubens Church because it contained 39 ceiling pieces by Rubens.

“hard to find a local that loves healthy food and does not know Sjalot & Schanul, run by a lesbian couple that understands hospitality, good food and an informal atmosphere, interesting for families too, belgian food the way we love it, it's behind the townhouse, go for a drink in de Bengel or the Engel, next to townhouse, and greet the politicians”

“The home of 17th century mayor Nicolaas Rockox, an art collector and also a friend of Rubens .”

“The Museum Mayer van den Bergh evolved from a private museum into the municipal museum it is today. It is still the gem it once was. Museum Mayer van den Bergh is built around the collection of one man, and that is still its essence, its strength and its attraction. Even so, in the course of more than a century, a lot has changed, behind the scenes as well. The Museum Mayer van den Bergh was the first museum in the world to be built around a single collection – with a special focus on Bruegel.”
