A very popular pub and although the food is standard pub faire the Tuesday Curry Night does come recommended. I hadn’t been in over 10 years and thought I’d give it a whirl this summer (2019). I wasn’t disappointed. Eat as much as you like for around £12. Get in early to grab those popadoms!
two different bars, traditional and contemporary depending on your mood. Great bar snacks too.
There are 2 bars and a restaurant with lovely river views. The Sports Bar (on the left as you go in) is our favourite because of its relaxed atmosphere. The food is good in both bars and in the restaurant.

“This was a favourite when I was a kid (a few years back now) if only for the then landlord’s jokes but I’ve recently heard a few locals rave about it. Try it and tell me!”

“One of my favourites. Not high on class, but with its nautical feel has great value pub grub and live music gigs in the evening. This place is buzzing around regatta time.”
