Located in central Austin, this is a great place to take a little hike and get a great view! You will see Lake Austin and the Hill Country!
Best view!! Considered the highest point in Austin. Be prepared for a half hour hike up a huge flight of stairs. But so worth it!
"Highest peak in Austin. Easy walk to the top and a beautiful view of the city and lake "
This is a drive for sure, but great sunset views after a short steep hike/walk up steps.

“Zilker Park is where ACL happens, where a great Zilker Christmas Light Show is, where the Stevie Ray Vaughn bronze is. Close enough to Casa Willow and Holly Neighborhood. Google what is happening at Zilker when you come.”

“The pink-granite building is the centerpiece of downtown Austin, perched on a hill at 12th Street and Congress Avenue. Free guided tours are held daily, starting in the South Foyer, but brochures are also available on the first floor for self-guided tours. The Texas Legislature meets every two years, so you’ll have to check the schedule if you want to see an actual session in progress.”

“This natural, spring-fed pool is open yea-round and is an iconic Austin spot. There's a $9 entrance fee for non-residents, though check the website for open swim times. ”
