“Sand Surfing on the Giant Te Paki Sand Dunes For those of us who are thrill seekers …. try Sand-surfing, its totally exhilarating, and very fast. You can hire sand boards on site. It is best to do this as these boards are specifically designed for sand, are easily controlled and can slide fast down the slopes.”

“The Panginangina Reserve in the Puketi Forest is home to some magnificent Kauri trees, the world's biggest tree after the Sequoia/Redwood. An easy 15minute boardwalk or longer walks on marked tracks.”

Point of Interest
“Even if you don't play golf the views from the club are spectacular. You can park the car from several locations and just enjoy the view. If you do play golf, I recommend the back 9 holes if it's a decision between 9 or 18 holes so that you get to enjoy the bay while playing. The course itself is quite good and they rent clubs and trolleys or carts. ”
