“When arriving at a Hoopers destination you will always find something really special. More than just another store, they offer an authentic shopping experience and an eclectic mix of luxury brands. Their first store opened in Torquay in 1982 and all branches have a reputation for delivering smart service that will make you feel special. ”

“A footpath takes you down to the end of Hope's Nose and although it is a bit of a trek back up it is worth it. Just beyond Hope' Nose lies The Orestone near which a ship was moored containing the captive Napoleon Bonaparte; he became one of Torquay's first major tourist attractions. Hope's Nose is also home to gold deposits although they were considered too small for commercial extraction.... and the area is home to pygmy goats who help to keep the vegetation in check.”

“Slighly pricy and aimed at the Rich and trendy. The road down is a bit tortuous and we wouldn't advise taking your car in summer although there is a small car park. You can walk down through Walls Hill or down the road, but take care, it's very steep and very narrow in places. However, it's probably well worth the effort. We only go in winter when it's quiet. You can also walk along to Oddicombe beach from here and tale the cliff railway back up the steep cliff route. ”
