Great for a casual stroll or exercising. Walk over Albert Bridge and then along the river inside the park. Grab a coffee at one of the cafe stands or visit the cafe by the lake for homemade cakes, sandwiches, salads and great tea and coffee.

The closest major park to the flat, cross over the pretty Albert Bridge, and you'll be in the park within 15 minutes of walking out the flat's front door. Stroll along the river, or go inside to the little lakes. Much of the middle of the park is given over to games, so big stretches of lawn, but…

My favourite park in London. Beautiful place for a picnic or a relaxed walk along the Thames. Also features paddle boats and bikes for hire.

A 10 minute stroll. One of London’s few Green spaces that is flanked by the river Thames with beautiful views of the bridges over to Chelsea. Visit the Peace Pagoda, the pump house gallery, the rose gardens, the tropical gardens, a small garden centre and find the Little Rock garden island, over a…

“A modern art gallery with changing exhibitions, right behind Duke of York Square and about 8 minutes walk from the flat. What you'll find inside varies from brilliant to baffling, depending on the exhibition. It's usually free, but they do have occasional paid blockbuster exhibitions - past ones include the Rolling Stones and Tutankhamen - and these are usually well worth the money if you're very interested in the subject matter, but these paid exhibitions do tend to be expensive and booked up far ahead.”

“Get up close to bearded dragons, otters, monkeys, donkeys, rabbits, and more at Battersea Park Children's Zoo in London. Nice place to spend time with family.”

“Until 2000, this museum on the bank of the Thames housed the UK’s contemporary art collection. Always an attractive museum, the galleries were cramped and too much was held in storage but the opening of Tate Modern has solved the problem, leaving the original building to concentrate on British art. The start of 2017 has seen a hugely popular David Hockney exhibition (although this does cost extra) but the permanent collection includes a trio of paintings by Whistler, an unrivalled collection of Turner paintings, plus Stanley Spencer, Francis Bacon and Henry Moore.”

“Bunga Bunga is a Battersea bar and club with a fun Italian theme, karaoke, DJs and feverish party spirit. Try the Pizzas and enjoy the quirky décor and frivolous atmosphere.”
