Downtown Ellijay! Such a cute little town. As you go around the round about in the middle of the town there are many shops and restaurants that are a must for when visiting. Ellijay is also home to the Apple Festival hosted October 13-October 16th. Definitely a must see stop when you come to visit around that time. All things apples!

Downtown Ellijay is small with free parking and quaint shoppes to browse in and out of. The restaurants are very good, I recommend River Street Tavern the burgers with local Ellijay mushrooms are delicious and so is the Potato salad that is made with sour cream and bacon. The Roof restaurant has excellent food - try the Fried Green Tomatoes .

The downtown area is super cute with lots of amazing restaurants and shops. Great antiquing!
