Pack a picnic for a great morning activity for the whole family. Drive up the mountain--sunrise point and sunset point on the way up are perfect if you can time them right! At the top is a parking area with picnic facilities. Try the Rhododendron trail including the spur to Luther Rock for amazing views! There are no railings so keep an eye on the kids out at the rock. Then hike back to the tables for your picnic lunch. Perfect!

Mount Jefferson State Park offers 3 moderate hiking trails and 3 strenuous trails ranging from .3 miles to 2 miles with spectacular views! Pack your picnic and head to the summit!

Mt. Jefferson State Park has tons of trails and lookouts with spectacular views. It's a short 20 minute drive from the cabin and a great place to spend the day hiking or sight seeing.
