Castellar Zoo started off as an animal sanctuary and is now a zoo. All the animals have been rescued from other zoos and circuses. Castellar encourages children to interact with the animals. There are set times when you can stroke a baby tiger or feed lemurs by hand. A brilliant day out. There is a restaurant but we prefer to take a picnic.

This zoo is a rescue center for animals that were abandoned and rescued to recover in the center. An excellent place to go with children so that they can interact with the wild animals.
