The Citadel of Qaitbay is a 15th-century defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean sea coast, in Alexandria, Egypt. It was established in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa'it Bay. The Citadel is situated on the eastern side of the northern tip of Pharos Island at the mouth of the Eastern Harbour.

This castle was built by Sultan “Ashraf Seif al-Din Qaytbay” on the Mediterranean coast in the same place as the old manar, which was destroyed during a strong earthquake in the past; To be one of the impenetrable fortresses of the people and the army from the many threats that were inflicting on the city. The castle was built fortified with high walls, about 4 meters high and about 2 meters wide. The castle was built within two whole years, and some destruction occurred in the castle when the British occupation entered Egypt, but the Committee for the Conservation of Arab Antiquities restored it in 1904.
