Just 500 meters away from Le Banquet you can visit the Font de Gaume caves a UNESCO World Heritage site which have 20,000 year old original cave paintings - a wonderful experience.

One of the most beautiful Paleolithic sanctuaries in the world still open to the public. Here is the 'real' thing. For Conservatory reasons, the number of visitors admitted daily is very limited and subject to change every day. It is not possible to book your visit (with the exception of visits adapted to the public in a handicap situation).
