This is an iconic-Sydney eatery / market / everything amazing. It gets busy on weekends if you want a table, but it's still worth going and you can wander the market stalls for food instead as well. They even have a pet pig named 'Kevin Bacon' who gets walked around the grounds. As described on the website "Located in a former industrial precinct from the 1920s, The Grounds of Alexandria is a landmark coffee roastery, café and sustainable garden known for its abundance of fresh produce and hands-on experiences."

Beautiful calm, clear waters- I have been fooled thinking I was in the Maldives when I've visited! The Boathouse on Balmoral beach is a great place for a spot of lunch or a drink.

Park your car down at Garie beach and head north along the well defined coastal path, enjoying views of Garie beach from above, and leading to Eagle Rock (a couple km's) where you'll find meandering streams and waterfalls that fall over the cliffs into the clear blue seas below. One word- Stunning. Take a picnic for after the walk. There are toilet facilities on site at the beach.

Bundeena is a sleepy seaside town with beautiful beaches, which is easily accessible by an hourly ferry from Cronulla. To get to Cronulla, take the train from Rockdale to Cronulla (on the same line, about 30 minutes). Bundeena is on the edge of the Royal National Park and the start of the coastal paths.

Long stretches of white sand, beachy sea-side town and some great eateries! There's a lot of surfing here, if that's your thing. If you're here in whale season, they are often seen out in the bay. Cronulla also has a 'sea pool', which is great to feel a bit more protected from waves (and sharks!).

This is great for dinner and drinks. Check out their website for live music schedule- there's live music every night. They also do UNLIMITED PIZZA for $15 (or its $6/slice). (Though check before you go when they have them on- I think it's 6-9pm on Thursdays).

They do a great pub quiz on Wednesday's at 7.30pm (free entry). The pub is run by a couple people from the UK, it's cozy with a relaxed vibe, and about as English a pub as you can find. It's located in Surry Hills, which is a cool area to wander around.
