Was ihr unternehmen werdet

We'll start with some simple Danish basics, both the language and the culture. I'll introduce the bikes, some basic phrases, all the funky hand signals you're gonna need throughout the tour, and a few little surprises for the viking in you.

We'll set off, and gain some speed, but hit those brakes again at all the most juicy places in the city: The Little Mermaid, The Citadel, The Royal Palace, Christiania, Tivoli, and more. But of course, I'll also take you down some of the hidden and cozy spots only known by the locals.

I'll give you some fun anecdotes and insights into life as a copenhagener, as well as some important words you can use to impress the locals. Oh, and I do know a little about the history of the city, and although I'll try not to drown you in dates, you're welcome to ask. My style is more down-to-Earth, modern, and upbeat.

-The Little Mermaid - The cutest and most photographed girl in CPH
-The Citadel - the old fortress with Dutch Windmill
-Amalienborg - That place you find royalty
-Nyhavn - Postcard Copenhagen
-Christiania - CPH's underbelly - There where the hippies live
-Christiansborg Castle- Copenhagen's most important building
-Gammeltorv - The oldest square in Copenhagen
-City Hall - Denmark's pulsing center.
+ A few extra bonuses along the way
Other things to note
All equipment will be provided for you and you will be trained on and informed how to cycle safely around the city in order to make your experience and enjoyable one.

Hi there,
My name is Liam. I'm an experienced tour guide and teacher of Danish, and I know Copenhagen like my own home. Wait... it is my home. That's right. I love this city. I love cycling, and I'm crazy passionate about teaching the Danish language. That's why I decided to combine my passions with Viking Cycling Copenhagen.

My guest host, friend, and colleague is J, a local and experienced guide who will show you around the city with passion and expert knowledge in his own unique style.

Wonderful bike tour with Liam who knows how to make things special for you. We couldn’t have expected more! In addition to the historical stories, Liam was also sharing his good danish vibes and made us see the city from another perspective. Highly recommended!

A perfect way to get acquainted during our first full day in Copenhagen. Liam was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and personable and expertly guided us through the city. The bikes provided were functional and efficient, there’s really no better way to experience Copenhagen. Would recommend to any visitor in the future

I left feeling underwhelmed from our tour on Christmas day. We booked an English tour and were messaged ahead of time to say that it was unexpected for any guests to book a tour, and even though Liam was away he organised Yorkie to take the tour for us. Yorkie was really energetic but typically takes the Spanish tours and due to different languages I didn't feel like I learnt anything new about the stops we visited. Also some of the stops were closed due to Christmas day which meant we travelled long distances without learning about the city. I can understand Christmas closures but would have expected the team to have better managed this and done some research beforehand to adjust to the tour to ensure we got the same value out of it. I believe if you offer a tour for any day of the year you should be able to resource the tour appropriately to ensure guests get the same level of experience. The bikes themselves were quite uncomfortable, and didn't appear to be well serviced - they all squeaked heavily under brakes. One of our guests had a flat tyre half way through the ride. Yorkie generously swapped bikes but I would have expected a small repair kit to be the staple of a guides backpack- especially when riding decent distances away from the bike shop. We have done many bike tours recently and these bikes were a lower quality than I would expect. I have tried to be balanced in this review as I understand it is difficult to operate over the holiday season and hope that our experience isn't reflective of a typical bike tour offered by this group. But again, I feel that if you cannot offer the same value experience because of a certain day of the year- you shouldn't make the tour available.

Copenhagen is a biking city and that best way to see it its definitely on a bike! We enjoyed riding around the city and I would recommend it as a great way to see as much as possible! The reason behind my 3 stars is because we did this tour during the holiday season and we didn’t have as good of an experience as I expect the tour normally provides. In our case, we didn’t have the normal guide as he was on holidays and it meant that we had the guide who normally offers the Spanish tour - he was a lovely guy but wasn’t too confident giving the English tour. The bikes were all very squeaky and not as comfortable as others I’ve used on other bike tours. The pace was nice and relaxed, and it was a pleasant and easy ride - very flat! Assuming you get to go with the appropriate guide for you language, I would recommend this tour as a good way to see Copenhagen.

Might be an OK tour on a normal day but give this a miss if it's a public holiday. We went on Christmas Day and got a stock standard tour of Copenhagen, hitting the main tourist attractions. The regular break locations were closed, didn't seem like any research had been done beforehand to check opening times. As a result we didn't have an opportunity to get out of the rain and the cold. No English speaking guide was available and while we had a good time with the Spanish-speaking guide who filled in (props to him for taking one for the team), it felt like he'd been given a hospital pass. All-in-all, disappointed in the management. If you can't offer an expected level of service, don't hold the tour.
