What a wonderful weekend! No one wanted to leave. Beautiful house and the balcony views were peaceful and relaxing. Soft comfy beds and an absolutely kitchen! We will be back❤️

It’s a great place to stay as long as your expectations are realistic. I took my dog and they had dog bowls, dog bed, and toy set out when I got there, which I greatly appreciated. The place was very clean, golf cart was charged, contact person was easy to get ahold of. Things you’ll need to manage expectations on are the fact that it’s an older house and it sits on an island. That means it has creaky windows, floors, and doors. It’s not so bad that I wouldn’t stay there again, just don’t expect new construction. And take bug spray! As soon as you step outside the flies and mosquitoes will swarm you. It is a marsh after all. Food is a little tricky to get, but the house came stocked with some pantry staples like rice and beans, and the contact person will tell you how to get food. As long as you know those things in advance you’ll have a better experience. I went there to get away from everything and it was perfect for that. I would definitely go back.

Basia was very attentive and responsive before and after our arrival. Any time we communicated with her, we got an immediate response. The cottage was beautiful and perfect for the two of us and our dog. Thank you!

We stayed here for a week and couldn’t have been happier. The home was gorgeous. The views were even better. We didn’t have the best week for weather due to a tropical storm but it didn’t really matter with the outdoor space and porch we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Extremely peaceful and beautiful location. Great location to unwind and get the full Chesapeake experience. Location is central to nearby stores and downtown. We look forward to returning again and will recommend to friends!

Our stay at Whelk-M-Home was exactly what my wife and I needed. The check in process was simple and upon arrival the home was clean and we settled right in. We really enjoyed sitting out on the multiple different decks to watch the sunsets. The location was quiet and secluded but easy enough to drive the 5 minutes into town to grab a bite to eat and add another 5 minutes and you're at the beach on Assateague. Thanks for a great stay!

Upon our arrival at the charming farmhouse on the lake, we were filled with excitement and anticipation for relaxation and adventure. The house was stunning, offering ample space with plenty of rooms for everyone. The kitchen was a delight to cook in and served as a perfect gathering spot. Access to the grilling area was convenient, and dining on the airy patio was a truly enjoyable experience. The views of the cows and chickens were delightful, adding to the farm's rustic charm. The lake itself was a tranquil oasis, perfect for birdwatching. We were thrilled to catch glimpses of bald eagles among other fascinating wildlife. We particularly appreciated the fresh bread and eggs left for us on the counter, which added a lovely homey touch to our stay. We highly recommend this oasis.

We've been vacationing at Chincoteague for 32 years so feeling at home in our surroundings is really important. That is Exactiily how we felt this year in our beautiful "home" away from home! There was NOTHING we would change and really hope to return to the same rental next year. Thank you for helping to make it a truly wonderful stay!!

This little Cottage was absolutely perfect. Our stay was quick but it was exactly what we needed. Overlooking the water, listening to the birds, and enjoying the absolute peace that is Chincoteague. This is a spot I'll definitely be visiting again!

A beautiful and spacious condo for our family to ring in the new year. Plenty of space for the three of us and our pups. The well-equipped kitchen was perfect since we were visiting in the off season and spent most meals in the condo. We would definitely visit again.

We’ve stayed at several of the units in this same complex, Kelly’s was by far the nicest. Can’t beat the view of sunsets on the patio!

Fantastic hosts who responded very quickly to the one minor issue we had with the wifi. It was not their fault at all, but they had the service provider out and with the issue being completely resolved within a couple of hours. Comfortable condo with plenty of space for a family. Hosts were very friendly and had great communication, with reminders before and during our stay. Highly recommended if you're looking for comfortable space, great hosts, and a relaxing stay.

First time in the area, was a great stay! Suggested restaurants were great.

We were looking for a peaceful off season rental and got exactly that. The weather was nice enough to walk into town and go kayaking. We love to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped. It is decorated like a magazine. Everything is beautiful and comfortable. The host was communicative and helpful. We loved that things were labeled! We’d definitely return.

The Tiny House was the perfect getaway! The beach was very private. The Sunsets were just gorgeous! Our Host Christi went above and beyond to make us feel right at home.All I really needed to bring was myself and my clothes. She had everything we needed. She told me how to get to a really cool antique shop. It was awesome! I can't say enough good things about Christi. She was an amazing Host and extremely helpful! Her place is truly a Hidden Gem! Thank you Christi!

Stayed in the off-season. Good location -close to downtown and refuge (easy bike ride) but removed from hubbub.

We had 4 adults and one young kid staying there, and the space felt very comfortable for all of us. We each had our own space to retreat to, and the communal spaces accommodated all of us comfortably. The kitchen was very well-stocked, the views were beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend.

This is a great location for bird watching (which is why we visited Smith Island): a nearby rookery and a wooden pier where boats can pick you up. We brought our own bikes on the ferry which is useful since the town is 2 miles away. The Blue Heron Cottage is well stocked with kitchen equipment and condiments so that you can cook yourself.

Finding the home was no issue, but there were no instructions for check in. I messaged and was told to go to the office. Had no idea what office i was to go to as there's no office near the property. We also found this property on Vrbo. That listing said to check in at Harbor rentals on chincoteague, but Air Bnb does not mention where to check in. Once i figured this out everything else was amazing. The views, peacfull location, everything about this home is worth it and amazing! Thank you for this beautiful spot.

Erin's beach house was a piece of paradise!! Erin was responsive! My kids loved the beach and relaxing in the sunroom! We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the warmer months!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was spacey, beautiful and perfect for families with kids. Daisy was extremely responsive and kind. The beach was only a 35-40 minute drive and we just had a really great vacation staying here. Would highly recommend.
