The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Get away to a private setting in Floyd County with your very own tiny home. Located just a 15-17 minute drive to downtown Floyd. Our tiny house is located on 2 wooded acres in a quiet, rural setting with plenty of room for the entire family. We encourage use of the entire site for tent camping alongside the tiny house. Kitchenette w/outdoor grill, bathroom with clawfoot tub, stackable washer/dryer, central HVAC and complimentary Level 2 EV charging are just some of the amenities to be found.

The Cabin

Charming log cabin in great Floyd County location for 2 guests only. Large family room with gas fireplace. Separate bedroom with queen bed, well appointed kitchen, & single bath with stall shower. Located ~22 minutes from I-81, 35 minutes from Virginia Tech, 22 minutes from Floyd Country Store, & ~ 40 minutes to Roanoke. No smoking/vaping on property. Our home is beside/visible from the cabin. We are available if you need anything, but we respect your time and will give you your privacy.

This 2 bedroom/1.5 bath townhouse is well equipped and the perfect place to stay whether coming for a football game, swim meet, Parent's weekend, visiting the hiking trails, wineries, or breweries of the New River Valley or stopping while traveling on route 81. Enjoy the views, farm fresh food, local hiking and swimming holes, or if it's cold, cozy up by the wood stove! We offer sliding scale farm-to-table dinners on weekends. We love sharing our farmstead with guests and also understand if guests prefer tranquil time to themselves. We are a 20 min drive to Dragon's Tooth, and 10 minutes to VA42 (Kelly Knob or the Keffer Oak).

Our tiny house is beautifully appointed with everything you need to live (and work!) in luxury two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and two miles from downtown Floyd, VA. Sleep soundly on the queen sized mattress topped with 4" memory foam. Cook your gourmet meals in the fully equipped kitchen—(we provide welcome mini loaf, organic coffee, half and half, sugar, rolled oats, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.) Spend the evening enjoying a campfire or relax on the porch swing.

Enjoy the sounds and sights of nature when you stay in this unique place. Our small house is our place of respite as we develop our farm. It is full of many luxuries and a well appointed kitchen to allow for a very comfortable stay. There are views of our farm and the surrounding area from every window and the window above the bed is perfect for stargazing at night from the comfort of your bed. You will have access to almost 18 acres so bring your dogs, explore, and relax.
