We enjoyed our time at the lake. Amazing and serene home. So wonderful to have my dogs with me and they loved the yard. Anna is helpful and responsive. Looking forward to our next visit this summer and fall.

Joe was extremely helpful and flexible both at check-in and checkout. The house is very clean and comfortable , we were 4 and our small dog. It is situated on a very quiet street.The backyard is great , it leads to a river that you can paddle (in season, we were there for thanksgiving). The house is an easy 25 minutes from Newport , you will need a car to do things in the area. The driveway easily accommodates 2 cars. We will probably come back, but in the warmer months!

We booked this house to hold all of the groomsmen for our wedding! This house had plenty of space! The house itself was absolutely stunning in every way possible. None of the guys wanted to head back to Chattanooga they were truly in love with it! They all went kayaking and cooked us up a nice dinner. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay on the lake. The property has direct access to the water and the reflection of that water at night made the stars brighter. The host was always available for any help at all. She was truly a blessing!!

My family and I enjoyed staying at this property. Only thing we had issues with was cleanliness of bathroom and air filter. Both of which were dirty and clogged with dust. Only reason is was somewhat of an issue is because my kids are highly allergic to dust. Besides that, great property.

We had a great stay at Mel’s place-we t down to Morehead city for a fishing trip and this house was perfect for our group. Would definitely stay here again.

Leah and Johnny's Guest House is a MUST stay if it is available during a trip to The County or anywhere close by! The location is amazing but the hosts offer such genuine kindness that you immediately feel like family. They went above and beyond with everything! This spot is a little slice of heaven on earth. Very responsive host, easy to communicate with! When something is missed by the cleaner, frank was able to help us with solution. The place is very quiet and peaceful, very recommend for small families.

What a great location for a cottage! The included boats (canoes & kayaks) are really nice. We went in late October (end of the season) and the neighborhood was nearly deserted. We were often the only people out on the lake. It takes about 20-25 minutes to paddle over to one of the several waterfront restaurants in Port Severn. Trevor's communications were very precise and easy to follow. Only negative comment concerns the well water. It's not just high in minerals, it is so high in minerals that it smells terrible and you really don't want to shower in it.

Nous avons adoré ce chalet situé dans un lieu calme, paisible, beau. Le logement était très bien équipé (nous avons même trouvé un adaptateur alors que nous n'avions pas pris le nôtre). Le parking devant le chalet n'est pas accessible sans voiture adaptée à cette période de l'année, comme nous l'a indiqué l'hôte, nous nous sommes garés facilement sur la route très proche du logement.

The main cottage is very cosy but still offers plenty of room to spread out. The sun room offers a beautiful view of the lake which made our morning coffee and lunches very enjoyable. Having visited during the colder part of the year we appreciated the fire and an abundance of blankets (for the sun room). The kitchen is well equipped, even for a full on family roast! The next door bunkie is such a great addition. And it’s not just for sleeping! The living area and the balcony, with just as pleasant view of the lake, is is great for enjoying a moment away from the hustle 😁 The surroundings are peaceful and you can get a nice long walk on the road that didn’t get too muddy even after a torrential rain storm.

From beginning to end this cottage is off the charts. Cute, unique, functiinal, confortable, well organized, thoroughly supplied and the location is private and beautiful.

Perfect spot for a perfect family weekend. We had everything we needed right down to beach towels, matches and firewood. The sunsets and views are great. Do pack water shoes for the rocky beach and area attractions but most everything else is available at the cottage! Little current, Mindemoya, hiking trails and bridal veil falls were all a short driving distance. Monique was very helpful. Her personal touches for our stay made it that much more special.

I am running a program out of this home all year long and we have 4 retreats at the property which I'll write a review for each time we stay. We got to experience the season of winter in January complete with a beautiful snowfall the last day of our trip. This time, we got to experience the spring...the season of rebirth. I am grateful for everything the home and land provided to us during this last experience. The home feels like our home while we are there and it has everything we need. Thank you so much!

This is a beautiful little cabin in the woods ! My 3 kids 6, 3 and 1.5 really made the most of it and enjoyed it very much ! The walk to the lake is doable and they accommodate for everything by providing things like a dish scrubber, wagon, life jackets, this is one of the best rentals I’ve stayed at !

We absolutely LOVED our stay here!! My two kids were so bummed we had to go back home. The space was perfect for our group. We loved the kayaks, float pad, and views! It really felt like a home away from home and we are already planning our next trip and recommending friends to stay here or any of the hosts other locations in the area. Very lovely cabin. Actually looked better in person than it did in the photos. The hosts were very responsive and attentive. The kitchen is fully stocked with seasonings and cooking supplies. We loved the rocking chairs on the screened in porch. Only downfalls were a good bit of the dishes that were put away were not cleaned, but you are expected to load those into the dishwasher yourself. My assumption is that previous guests did not rinse the dishes before running them through the wash and someone put them up after not checking them first. Not a huge deal. We can't speak much on the amenities offered at the cabin because we stayed during bad weather, but it was the perfect cabin for an unplugged weekend with just board games and food. Overall, it was a really great place to stay and we would personally go back.

We will definitely be back! We had a list of things to do, but spent most of our time outside of the cabin relaxing. We didn’t get to kayak since there was a flood that took them away which was a bummer, but still worth it. Has everything you need and close to tons of things to do!

We had an amazing long weekend with both our dogs! It was our first vacation with them both and this cain did not disappoint. We truly had R&R and we are planning our next trip very soon!! oh! and the wildlife is so fun! from the herons, fish and turtles to the lovely donkey 🤣.

Rebecca’s cabin was lovely! Exactly as described with a great deck overlooking the river. Our trip was unfortunately cut short by threat of flood, but Rebecca and Leanne were extremely kind and helpful through the process. Thank you!!

Andrew's place was the perfect getaway for us. Highly recommended.
