The cottage is situated on a farm in Laikipia, 32km from Nanyuki. It is near Borana and Ngare Ndare with stunning panoramic views of Mt. Kenya. It has large terraces providing comfy outdoor lounge areas. The farm is rich in bird species. Perfect getaway to relax in a beautiful landscape with a wild feel. It is a sustainable home designed to minimize your footprint on the environment with solar panels and rain water collection. Our cottage won the 2023 Airbnb Africa Award for Sustainability.

The Wagons, Loltunda Farm, Chumvi Borana Laikipia

The Wagons of Loltunda are made up of three ox cart wagons beautifully finished with an African Gypsy feel. Two bedroom wagons called love and Freedom sit at right angles with views out to the loldaiga hills and Borana. There’s an open plan raised wooden deck connecting the wagons with warm fireplace, dining and lounge area. To the right is a kitchen made of an old horse box. All wagons set are under a roof for protection. Outside is a open air bathroom. The spare room is a tree house.

Arguably one of the best views in Kenya. Overlooking the Ngare Ndare Forest, across Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and toward the mountains of Samburu, the scenery is truly breathtaking. This unique timber home, built from locally sourced wood, is the perfect weekend escape, peaceful, private and full of character. Just 40 minutes north of Nanyuki, it’s an ideal stop en route to Samburu or Meru, and only 30 minutes from the Ngare Ndare Blue Pools.

Enjoy this spacious and serene space. It is a fenced compound among other homes and farms, and close to Mt Kenya Forest and Nyambene Hills. The forest, which teems with birds and elephants, is only a short walk away. Guests are advised to book adequate days and time to cover their required stay as we are not able to accommodate earlier check-in and late checkout; other than the indicated times.

This modern and cozy one bedroom is 20 minutes drive from Meru Town and is located right off the Meru- Nanyuki Highway. It's perfect for your stop overs while in Meru or incase you are headed to Nanyuki or Isiolo. There's lots of space in the compound for guests to hang out and have a great time. Parking space is adequate and the premises are secure.
