Only 30 minutes from Glasgow and seconds from the ferry to Dunoon & Argyll highlands, you can spot seals & porpoises while you watch the sun set. There's a double bedroom upstairs and comfortable double sofa bed in the living room, fully equipped kitchen, free private parking, and we include a wee breakfast as well. This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.

The garden has various sitting areas strategically positioned to catch the sun. The private driveway leads to the house and there is parking for three vehicles.

Dunlop is only 1/2 hour drive to some of Ayrshires top golf courses. The train takes less than 30 mins to Glasgow city centre. The village has a community pub, a community cafe(open Thursdays and Fridays for morning coffee and lunch. A newsagent, post office/ shop and an Artisan Bakery ( openThursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) A new craft shop has also recently opened next door to our home. The nearest supermarket is 10 mins. drive away.
