Miller’s Rest is a self-contained one bedroom cottage with private parking and 2miles from Orton, 5 miles from Shap. The cottage is peaceful with plenty of space and all modern amenities. The bespoke kitchen is well equipped, living room has a log burner effect electric fire for those colder nights. The bedroom has an ensuite shower room and large wardrobe. There is a small stream running alongside the garden lovely for sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine, relaxing and watching the birds.

Located just off the Coast 2 Coast route with loads of other local walks. Only a 15/20 minute drive to Ullswater or an adventurous walk over the fell! Alternatively we are just down the valley from Haweswater as well as having access onto the fells from the village. I’ve had 6 lovely years here and hope you also enjoy the cottage.

A 10-minute drive away is Haweswater which is a great place to have a very peaceful hill walk. In the other direction, Pooley Bridge is more populated and offers diversions such as hiring a rowing boat or travelling up the Lake on a steamer.
