Our property provides an open floor plan, kitchen, washer & dryer. The Hurlen Hytte (cabin, in Norwegian)

This cozy, Norwegian inspired cottage is literally steps away from Smith lake and is located between Alexandria and Osakis, Minnesota. The interior features, rustic knotty pine, hardwood floors, stone fireplace and sunlit porch. Step outside to the layered deck, grill, fire pit, log swing and dock. Cozy cabin Lake view Walk to beach & restaurants

Make some memories at this comfortable and family-friendly cottage. Across from AAA awarded Starbuck Beach, you’re also walking distance to restaurants, parks, and more! This cozy cottage has one private bedroom, one bath and shared sleeping in the living area. Enjoy the sunrise from the large front deck, spend the day at the beach, followed by dinner on the patio of one the great restaurants around the lake. And finally watch the sun set from the private backyard while sitting by a fire.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Peaceful Getaway

Scenic and peaceful with a charming rustic cabin. Take a stroll through our enchanted forest on your way to the lake. The bridge will take you there! Once on the lake relax on our floating deck! Our sunsets are lovely, and nature surrounds you. We are located on Long Lake which has no public access so it’s very quiet. Bring your kayaks for some amazing bird and turtle watching. Feel like swimming? Fairly Lake beach is 4 minutes from the cabin! End your relaxing day around the firepit!

Make memories in the cozy living room with friends around the electric fireplace, climb the ladder to the 3rd story loft for the view or perfect kid’s hideout, or open the oversized patio doors to visit the lake, just steps from our back door! Lovely farmhouse out on the Tallgrass Prairie, surrounded by prairie habitat and wetlands. Large kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms, pullout couch. Fireplace, firepit in the back, and known for the dark night sky and star gazing. Nearby bike trails and a water trail for kayaking / canoeing nearby. A known 'stepping stone' for migratory waterfowl across North America. Peaceful, quiet, wide open spaces and great kite flying.

Pomme De Terre is a great 1800+ acre recreational lake for fishing, swimming and boating.
