The Timberjack

Although it's a rustic homage to the lumberjacks and jills of yesteryear, this cabin includes many of the comforts we now enjoy including a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge, hot water, AC/heat, a Keurig coffeemaker, smart TV and charcoal grill. The Timberjack is surrounded by trees right on Lake Hayward and close to downtown Hayward. Launch your canoe just steps from the cabin, walk into town for lunch, or go hiking or skiing on the nearby trails, this cabin is nestled in the ideal location!

Nordic Lake Cabin : Sauna/Hot Tub/Pontoon Rental

We finished building this modern Scandinavian cabin in spring 2020. It’s been featured in Vogue and on Magnolia Network. The cabin sits at the end of the road on a private lot with a perfect view of sunsets over the nature side of the lake. Drive past farm fields, into the woods, and onto our private gravel road, arriving at the driveway. Watch loons, tundra swans, eagles, beavers and deer while you relax by the lake. Pontoon boat rental is available as an add on! Pets welcome for a $90 fee!

"Das Blockhaus" - cozy, authentic German log cabin

Studio sized log cabin with direct access to Hayward Lake and located just 3.5 miles from the Hatchery Creek Trailhead (Birkie Trail and CAMBA mountain bike trail access at this trailhead). Or you could go hang out at the city beach just half a mile away or launch your boat at the public launch (same place). Also just a short walk to downtown for great coffee, food and drink. Valhalla Townhouse is just a few miles outside the cute town of Cable Wisconsin. This property sits adjacent to an old ski hill and walking distance from the American Birkebeiner Trail head. Miles of trails are just out your door for cross country skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, hiking and ATV's. There are also numerous lakes in the area and the beautiful Namekagon river for fishing or canoeing. There is something for everyone here at Valhalla! We hope you enjoy your stay!

Hunt Hill's Rustic Log Cabin

Welcome to Hunt Hill Nature Center! We are a public, non-profit learning center and nature sanctuary. Our historic Log Cabin is nearly a century old and offers a peaceful retreat in the woods. All the furniture was updated in 2018. The Log Cabin is located just outside of the main camp, settled on top of a hill overlooking pristine forest habitat. Nearby towns offer additional entertainment or relax in our quiet setting while reading a good book in front of the stone fireplace.

Black Dog Woodland Suite

The Woodland Suite is located on our 10 acre property on Spooner Lake. The Suite is a ground level apartment (300 sf) that is part of our garage/guest building. The views are of tamarack marsh, pine and oak woods, and the lake. It is a three room retreat for couples, solo adventurers, families with kids, and dogs. The Suite is not a good fit for four (4) adults.
