High barrel ceilings, white oak floors and garden views fill the space with light and calm. Just one block away, College Ave is lined with vibrant cafés, bookshops and restaurants. Elmwood is one of Berkeley's loveliest neighborhoods — leafy streets, historic homes and a genuinely local feel. UC Berkeley, the Greek Theater and several parks are all within easy walking distance.

Berkeley Hills Maybeck Cottage

Built in 1925, Maybecks' “Cubby” is your private, rustic, 750 sq ft, carriage house located less than a mile from Cal. Homey and basic - the deck is great for lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. It's an easy walk down to the gourmet ghetto, Thursday Markets, buses and BART. Carport provided, a car is recommended (hey it's located in the hills.) Not baby proofed, minimal fencing - sorry, no pets, babies or toddlers. Smoke free, no butts about it. Sorry, no loud music, or large gatherings.
