Built in 1925, Maybecks' “Cubby” is your private, rustic, 750 sq ft, carriage house located less than a mile from Cal. Homey and basic - the deck is great for lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. It's an easy walk down to the gourmet ghetto, Thursday Markets, buses and BART. Carport provided, a car is recommended (hey it's located in the hills.) Not baby proofed, minimal fencing - sorry, no pets, babies or toddlers. Smoke free, no butts about it. Sorry, no loud music, or large gatherings.

The private room has a double bed which is slightly shorter and more narrow than a queen size bed. We offer a mini fridge and complementary coffee. No kitchen access. The room , bath and entry are entirely private. It is not a stand alone cottage and you will hear some house noises. Thank you. 😊

There is a patio deck with table and chairs to enjoy meals outdoors. Previously an art studio, now a simple detached cottage at the entrance of our property. The Berkeley Bitty House is our cozy little detached guesthouse, located in a quiet residential neighborhood that is a few minutes drive to campus and within walking distance to many landmarks.
