The community is atv friendly and also boasts a beautiful creek containing brook trout and picturesque waterfall. Winterplace , Hatfield Mccoy Trails, and Appalachian trail all only minutes away.

Nearby multiple wilderness areas, superb mountain stream fishing, small lake fishing, swimming area & beach, wildlife management areas & miles of trails offer tons of natural amenities and outdoor opportunities.

Less than 2 miles to the Hatfield & McCoy Pocahontas Trail. We are pet friendly (w/owner approval and additional $25.00 pet fee). Strong WiFi, Very close to convenience stores, ATV rentals, gas, groceries, food, car wash, and more. Lodge (A) is beautiful and fully furnished 2 BR, 1 bath, large open kitchen/dining/living area. Located approximately 6 minutes to War, WV and HMT trailhead. A Short, nice ride to the Wilmore Dam, and to High Rocks. NEW ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR LARGE TRAILERS across the street from the Cottage. In addition to approximately 50 ft. in front, 40 ft. in back, 30 ft. on the side of the cottage. SEE PARKING PHOTOS. We are on Rt 16, part of the ”Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Riding Route in Caretta, WV. You will have easy on/off access to “Warrior Trail” from Caretta or War.

Then come drink hot chocolate next to the fireplace, or have a glass of wine while watching the sunset on the covered porch!

Take a step back in time. Rural America. Before fast food chains, and even before Walmart... Surrounded by Mountains and conveniently located, direct access to Warrior Trailhead and High Rocks. Enjoy Wilmore Dam, or perhaps a day at Berwind Lake trout fishing, or hiking. This can be purchased with the main house or as a stand alone unit. If purchased together the price will be reduced to $40 a night. Guest will have entire space to themselves.
