The location offers a perfect base for exploring the Peak District with a wide choice of walks or cycle routes from the door. Access to the Monsal Trail is just a 10 minutes walk away, and the villages of Litton and Tideswell are also easily accessible by foot.

There are many excellent picturesque places to visit, from the doorstep, nearby Monsal Dale and the famous trail, Millers Dale and Chee Dale only a short walk away.

The 3 bedroom cottage has exposed timer beams, a log burner and many original features, with feeling of being in the middle of the countryside with wide open views but only 10 minutes from Buxton and Bakewell, 5 minutes from the Monsal Trail and a ten minute walk from the local pub in Taddington Village. A private, self-contained, en-suite annex, next to the River Wye, in a tranquil setting. Direct access to covered decking area & shared garden so you can enjoy the water, wildlife and countryside. Food prep area with fridge, microwave, sink, kettle & toaster. Plenty of walks from the doorstep, cycle routes and climbing opportunities. Perfectly located to explore the Peak District. Car strongly recommended. The annexe is attached to our family home, but has its own entrance.

Perfectly located to explore the Peak District with walks from the doorstep including Cressbrook Dale. The accommodation includes a mini fully equipped kitchen area, perfect for making breakfast in bed. The Coachman’s Hideaway is a room in our home but with its own entrance.

Chert Cottage, Great Longstone, Bakewell Peak Dist

Chert Cottage is a delightful and private two bedroomed detached cottage in the centre of Great Longstone. The cottage sits off the road with its own drive, great gardens and private patio, along with ample private parking. Well behaved pets are welcome. All of this in the wonderfully picturesque Peak District village of Great Longstone, just minutes from the Monsal trail and Chatsworth House. Bakewell is also close by, along with lots of walking opportunities.

Within walking distance of the village pub and within a short drive of beautiful Bakewell it is ideally located for you to enjoy all the Peak District has to offer. Ideally suited to couples or friends we also welcome families and allow two well behaved dogs. Check in days are Monday, Friday and Saturday, discounts on weekdays and for seven day breaks.
