I booked the place for a business trip as I don't like being stuck in a hotel room. Steve checked out the route to my meeting place to make sure I would make the daily commute on time. I came in late, but they met me to make sure I felt at home. Not only Wendy and Stev are super friendly, also the dogs make you feel at home. The place is cosy and very clean. And of course the hot tub in the garden in great to relax after a busy day. This AirBnB is noted in my 'to return to' address book!

The property is quaint and nostalgic yet very up-to-date in being well maintained and clean in all areas. The entry level cabins are small, but will accommodate a couple on holiday with all they need and modern accoutrements inside. The larger cabins will be a better choice if you have kids. The neighborhood is very quiet and you are within a stone's throw walking distance of breakfast and bar room evening entertainment with food as well. Easy driving distance to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, and just over a half hour from gold medal Colorado fishing in Deckers or 11 Mile canyon. Look forward to our next stay!

This is the top floor of a cabin-like building. The private hot tub was really nice. The location is lovely with access to the little town, hikes from the doorstep, and quiet mountain charm. The interior was clean and comfortable. The sink faucet was broken but usable, and Sherri and Alexandra were responsive. The exterior could use some TLC- things like leaking gutters that dripped cold water on us when walking to and from the entrance and sitting in the hot tub.

We loved staying here. It is exactly as described. While there were people in the lodge at the same time we were in the cottage, we couldn’t hear anyone. We felt secluded, very safe, and right at home. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed. We cooked some of our meals, did laundry and had a little downtime to just relax. The rooms were great size and the bathroom was a good size as well! Caitlin was very easy to communicate with when I had a question. I would highly recommend this cottage and if we come back to that area this is where we will be staying!

Stayed for our honeymoon and it was everything it needed to be and more. The home was private, comfortable with an amazing hot tub. It had perfect temp and was very well maintained, plus a nice grill to use for cooking! Can't beat that! From the living room to the loft, very comfortable spaces to relax. The kitchen was clean and equipped with your hearts content to cook! I could say so many other great things about this spot, but I gotta leave some room for the hosts. They made the experience great as well. Very friendly and responsive with great recommendations. Cannot wait to come back for our honeymoon! If you're thinking about staying, don't think twice! Such a beautiful place to stay while exploring the beautiful Colorado Springs!

I walked 10 minutes to get to my professional conference at the Broadmoor Hotel. It’s less expensive than the hotel rooms with more freedom and privacy, and with your own hot tub. I walked 15 minutes the other direction to a mountain canyon park, nature station, and a nice trail that follows a stream up the canyon. If you’re not a hiker, take any number of day trips by car to natural beauty and wonders. It’s in a pleasant wooded neighborhood with close neighbors on either side, but it feels very private. It has that rustic arts and crafts mountain cabin feel and is very clean and well maintained. Very comfortable bed. Deer were hanging out in the yard one day.

One of the best stocked places I’ve stayed! All the necessary kitchen supplies as well as cleaning. Lots of games and stuff to do, and the place is taken care of very nicely!

We brought our adult kids for a weekend away from it all and it celebrate my husband's birthday. The location of the home is great (we didn't leave the whole time). All kitchen tools and appliances made it easy to make all of our meals here. the hot tub was fabulous and so peaceful! Brittany was very responsive (very quickly) with the couple of questions I had sent. In addition, one of our family members left an item in the bedroom. Brittany was so helpful in making sure that item was shipped back to us right away! That was so appreciated! We would definitely stay here again, without hesitation!

We loved the picture window at the front the house that faces south and provides a view of the mountains. Julia was very responsive to any questions or issues we had and she provided some good local recommendations for things to do / places to eat. The internet was solid and we had no issues working remotely and the breakfast nook and family room worked out well for two of us needing work spaces. The mountain biking trail system in COS is incredible and massive - only two miles from the front door to Red Rock Canyon where you can access more trails than you (or at least I) could mange to explore all of in a month!

Ryan was the best host and his interaction and texts back and forth, made a very stressed situation (father - hospice & passing) bearable. He reached out immediately upon booking, and did everything in his power to make it a great stay. His orchard was starting to come into leaf and we wish we could have stayed to watch it all unfurl. At night the view is beautiful, as his property sits higher than the others. We would take our dog out and let her explore the large area while we just mellowed out with a glass of wine and enjoyed the night. When my dad passed he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He provided us with food recommendations etc when needed, honey and eggs from own aviary and hens Home is clean and bright, I looked forward to it after time spent caring for dad, so relaxing. Neighbourhood older, you can walk safely up and down street, and easy to get around town from. If or when I go back to Colorado, I will be booking Ryan's first if available. Great job!

This is the spot! Lovely spot and felt right at home. Friend was visiting and is a chef. We had everything we needed to make a meal. Walk right out the door for a night cap. Loved everything about this spot. Spaces were uniquely decorated and clear of clutter! Cool spot. I will be back!

Had a very good experience, Tonia was very responsive and friendly. The highlands is a very peaceful area in Denver with lots of restaurants and things to do. The space was comfortable and very unique with all of the artwork. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location! Walkable to downtown and a 5-15 minute drive to all of the other exciting places surrounding Colorado Springs. Very dog friendly and clean! Highly recommended to people with dogs who are looking for a quiet place near the old city!

Location, location, location! Loved being able to park the car for the stay and have downtown CO Springs and its sights, restaurants, and watering holes just steps away. Waze took us down the correct alley and I think was just one house off in terms of location, but the gate is well marked as 423-1/2. Melanie's place is small as advertised but certainly perfect for two and our little mini dachshund who had a great time running back and forth in the enclosed rocked area. We had everything we needed and felt very cozy and plenty warm with all the available heating options; electric fireplace is something I might look into getting myself -- very cute and effective! 5-stars all around and would definitely book again.

A wonderful place to stay in Old Colorado City. Very clean home and huge yard. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook! Andrea was very responsive. Definitely would recommend!

This place is awesome!! Such a cute place with everything thoughtfully thought out!! The views of the mountains are spectacular and you’re right across the street from the Olympic Training Center!! All that is awesome but the best part is Fran the owner, so nice and so accommodating!! Can’t wait to come back!!

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Maggie and her husband were a great host. Place felt right at home and down to earth. We really enjoyed our stay! The home was very clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay! Love that Dutch Brothers and Starbucks were so close! The house was cute and well-appointed.

We were very happy with the “love shack”! It was clean and comfortable and it was within walking distance to town where we found great restaurants and shops and not a far drive to hiking.

Easy check in, great location and so clean! Kitchen well appointed, as others have said, which such a plus. Easy walks to lots of places- parks, Botanical Garden and restaurants. Did not need a thing. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful stay! The home is nestled in a nice, quiet neighborhood and had a very warm, homey feel to it. It’s a cute and cozy space—perfect for a small family with little ones. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well and cooled the space quickly, which was a huge plus. We also found the beds to be very comfortable, providing restful nights throughout our stay. A few minor notes: the kitchen sink is quite small, and the faucet is a bit oversized for the space, which made it slightly challenging to maneuver while washing dishes. This was also the case with the other sink faucets—the handles weren’t very smooth when adjusting between hot and cold, making the water flow a bit sensitive and harder to control. Overall, these were small trade-offs for an otherwise delightful and welcoming stay. We’d definitely recommend this place to other families and would love to return.
