Beautiful and rare hideaway, incredibly peaceful place in close proximity to some wonderful walks and countryside.. Sue is an excellent host, made me feel like a part of the family, flexible and great local knowledge.. Very highly recommended.

Gary’s place was very clean, comfortable, with modern functionality and close to tourist attractions. It was home away from home for us who have travelled here from Australia and Malaysia. Gary was easy to communicate with, and was very prompt in responding to our needs.

The location of this home in Kingston is just breathtaking. The lake, the mountains, the quaint little town -- all of it is perfect. It is a 45-ish minute drive from Queenstown, but that was a plus for us as we had day trips planned to Milford Sound and Invercargill. Plus, the drive to Queenstown is so beautiful. The house was very clean and cozy. We made ample use of the washing machine (which conveniently has a dryer option as well). I would highly recommend a stay at Ian's.

Clean and modern - has everything you need! This has been our favorite place so far. The farmhouse is right next door if you don’t want to cook. Has a small kitchen and a washer and dryer. Great stop for the weekend adventurer.

The cottage is part of a working vineyard, and one finds serenity and feels restful. It is exactly as described. Jen was a wonderful and thoughtful host -- she was responsive, esp. when we brought to her attention small glitches that are bound to happen despite the best of intentions, and she promptly help us to take care of the small glitches and even added a surprising personal touch to make our stay that much more enjoyable. We had a wonderful stay; we got to explore the Central Otago wineries, and got to enjoy the sunset at the cottage sitting on the porch in the back. Jen's cottage is between Alexandra and Clyde, and within short driving distance to some great wineries and to other parts of Central Otago. I find Alexandra an easy and pleasant city to shop for produce if needed. I look forward to staying with Jen again if I visit Central Otago in the future.

This was our second long stay at Ida Cottage. It is in the right location for anything in Lumsden, is quiet, peaceful; up to date and perfectly clean and functional. Duncan is flexible and eager to help in any ways.
