Im 13. Jahrhundert befand sich hier ein Nonnenkloster des Zisterzienserordens, wovon heute nur noch verschüttete Mauerreste übriggeblieben sind. Direkt hinter dem Haus erstreckt sich ein Netz von Rad- und Wanderwegen. Direkt im Weiler gibt es keine direkte öffentliche Verkehrsanbindung. Im Dorf unterhalb des Weilers befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle. Zum Bhf. in Müllheim sind es ca. 6km, zum Euro-Airport Mulhouse/Basel ca. 35km.
