What can we say? In all our years of Air B and B this is the single best experience we’ve ever had. Cynefin at Llainfran is a peerless haven of peace and tranquillity situated on an idyllic part of the Mid Welsh coastline. Everything about the space is so thoughtfully and tastefully done and whilst it’s part of a beautiful farm the fact the space is fenced off means you feel cocooned in your own perfectly tranquil space. The clever thing is that all this beauty doesn’t come at the expense of mod cons; the cabin has underfloor heating, fast reliable wifi and we were even able to charge our EV van so we could continue exploring! Llainfran is the perfect base for exploring the coastline and if you’ve never been to this part of Wales; you are in for a treat; gorgeous beaches, wildlife (dolphins and seals!), friendly hospitality and incredible food and drink. There isn’t space enough to write all the amazing things we could say about this place; just book it! You’ll be so glad you did!

Beautiful views, very peaceful and secluded, was just what me and my partner needed for a romantic relaxing weekend away! Carolyn and Rhys were very responsive in answering when we messaged beforehand with questions and how to get to the accommodation. Elen was a fantastic host, both before we arrived and throughout. Great communication, very friendly and welcoming especially to our 2 children 7 & 4. They had a wonderful time seeing the farm animals, tractors and enjoying the house and especially the hot tub! Location was excellent for exploring Mid-Wales and the coast, we did stream trains, Aberystwyth, beaches, horse rides and forests. The house was spacious - well equipped kitchen/dining and comfy. Highly recommended for family break to explore the beauty of Mid-Wales and beyond.

We found the cottage easy to find. Within minutes of arrival Ian welcomed us, offered advice and we chatted for awhile. Whilst not meeting him in person, Robert kept in touch in the build-up to our stay and offered advice on various matters. The cottage was spotless and catered for all our needs. It was cosy with the living room offering a nice view and was very comfortable and warm. The ground surrounding the cottage were a haven of peace and quiet, punctured only by the sounds of various birds, and we also saw squirrels and a few wild rabbits. The grounds were also well looked after. We would recommend this cottage for anyone wanting to get away from the realities of modern life with peace and quiet, walks in the surrounding fields and a friendly village pub within 20 minutes walk. A car is recommended for days out, but the village does have a bus service (T1 on the hour into Aberaeron and beyond. Beware of local taxi firms charging extortionate prices.

Rupert was the perfect host. Cottage was spotless, with the added provisions of milk,coffee, tea, homemade jam and Welsh cakes. A calming retreat and we will definitely be re booking.

5 stars isn’t enough to describe Zena and Leigh’s place! The cottages are set in the most idyllic location which is perfect for staying in or exploring the local area. Zena and Leigh are wonderful hosts - they are friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The cottage itself is filled with everything you could possibly need and is in immaculate condition. Bonus points for the animals, who are so friendly and inquisitive and who made our stay so memorable!

I stayed at the Nook whilst attending a local comedy festival. Jacci was really responsive and helpful prior to arrival and the Nook had everything you could want to feel at home. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting this beautiful part of Wales.

We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this cute cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The property is beautifully maintained, with great attention to detail throughout—everything was thoughtfully prepared to make us feel welcome and comfortable. One of the highlights for us was the hot tub, which was such a wonderful way to unwind at the end of the day. The space felt very private and secluded, giving us a real sense of calm and escape from everyday life. We really appreciated the little touches that made the stay extra special, from the cozy furnishings to the well-equipped amenities. It’s clear that Sven and Sophia care deeply about creating a great experience for their guests. We would absolutely love to return in the future—thank you again for such a memorable stay!

We had a truly wonderful stay at the shepherd’s hut – a perfect little escape in a stunning location. The views were beautiful and peaceful, and the hut itself was cosy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome – warm, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you for letting us share a piece of your lovely home; it really felt special. We loved how dog-friendly everything was – Wilf felt right at home! The little honesty bar was a perfect touch. The surrounding countryside offered beautiful walks and peaceful moments, and evenings. This place is a gem – a peaceful retreat full of heart and care. We would absolutely love to return and soak up the magic all over again. Thank you for a truly memorable and heartwarming stay.
