This is recent modern Barn conversion. (Jan 2015) It contains one large kitchen/dining/lounge area, one double bedroom with en suite facilities. June 2017 added second Living Space area with view of adjacent farm and wood, Lobby area with Laundry facilities and a second bathroom. Please note the Grounds and external outdoor perimeter of The Barn is protected by CCTV TK Alarm Company. Please know this is a simple place. It once was out buildings, however you will find it warm and homely.

The Barn

The Barn is a charming 2 storey restored stone barn set in 1.5 acres of private garden with mature trees on an elevated site in the foothills of the Mournes. The barn is 4 miles from Dromara, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the source of the River Lagan and 4 miles from Ballynahinch. Take time to detach from the world and enjoy a break nestled in a cosy self-catering cottage, perfect for hikers, cyclists, film crew or wedding guests at local venues like Montalto Estate or Larchfield.

Swallows' Rest - converted stone barn

Swallows' Rest is a quiet countryside escape just a short dander from the beach. Carefully rebuilt in 2024, this ex-milking barn is now a bright and homely place to relax among the birds and butterflies, just a 15 minute walk from the buzz of Donaghadee harbour with its cafes, shops, and pubs. Swallows' Rest is at the rear of an old farmyard behind our own house, which is off a quiet road. Perfectly located with easy access from the M1 motorway, an hours drive from Dublin and Belfast and only 8 min by car to Dundalk.

Flowerhill Cottage

Flowerhill Cottage is a 18th Century barn which has been sympathetically restored to an exceptional standard. In 2021 we have replaced the bathroom, installed new triple glazing and completed redecorated. The accommodation comprises of 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, an open plan kitchen/dining area, and living room with double sofa bed and a wood burning stove. The accommodation can be altered to suit the needs of any guest. Cots, high chairs etc can be provided upon request.

Blackstown Barn is a first floor apartment in a rural location approximately 3 miles from Ballyclare. Recently renovated, it offers a picturesque location, ideal for business or pleasure. The Barn - Hillsborough

A converted barn, a wonderful space for a couple as cosy but also for a family as has a large kitchen. Just outside Hillsborough (2 miles) enjoy the peace of the countryside whilst not being too far from the sights. (Belfast 30 mins, Dublin 1hr 30mins, North Coast, Giants Causeway, 1hr 30mins). Larchfield Estate, wedding venue, 5 minutes drive away. You have complete privacy from us but if you need any advice while here we are just across the yard.
