Anura made us feel at home right away - his friendly and calm personality, and delicious cooking, made it an extremely enjoyable and pleasant stay. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious.

Die Bissa Villa ist ein absoluter Glücksgriff gewesen. Tolle Lage, schön ruhig und sehr gemütlich. Die Kommunikation mit Samitha lief wunderbar. Und das Essen in der Train Hut war auch sehr lecker und frisch. Einziger Punkt zur Verbesserung wäre der Pool. Das Wasser wirkte nicht ganz so sauber, wirkte milchig und etwas verschmutzt. Aber alles in einem, hatten wir einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt ✨

5 min drive to the Lion's rock. We loved our stay at Sisira's place. His family were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Easy and flexible check in. The food were very tasty.

Samantha and Kauchi were the perfect hosts. On arrival were were given welcome drinks and Kauchi informed us of the local attractions, including the Hurulu eco park (where we visited and saw loads of wild elephants extremely close up and virtually deserted apart from 2 jeeps), Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and pidurangala. The room was lush, the pool cooling in the heat, and the bird life amazing! We ate traditional breakfast in the train hut whilst the train drop off people (it's a delight to watch). We also had some of the best home cooked food we tried in Sri Lanka, fresh as it can be. We felt so well looked after, cared for, and relaxed in this chilled out environment. It's virtually a deluxe homestay, but more! Their ethos of living of their land with minimal waste was inspirational. I will remember the great chats had with Kauchi who's English is excellent. Out of the 8 places we stayed in Sri Lanka over 18 days this place is equal first 🥇 place. Thank you so much everything team 🙏 x

We had a great stay at this place. The host was friendly, kind and helpful. He made us the best breakfast, gave us good tips what to do and drove us with his tuk tuk to different places. Don‘t miss the sunrise hike to pidurangala rock.

Vi havde to fantastisk nætter hos Green Wood. Fra første sekund tog de søde værter imod os med smil og latter, de fik os til at føle os hjemme og velkomne fra starten. Værelset var rummeligt og rent, derudover var der en dejlig terrasse hvor man kunne nyde en kop the eller andet i de rolige og smukke omgivelser. Green Wood er placeret blandt træer og uden støj fra vej, men samtidig i gå afstand fra alt der er relevant i området, så beliggenheden kunne ikke være bedre. Sidst men ikke mindst lavede vores vært det mest fantastisk hjemmelavede Sri Lankanske mad til os, både morgenmad og aftensmad var fantastisk. Tak for et dejligt ophold og for at smitte os med jeres grin, smil og positive energi.

Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf. Jayanti is een geweldige gastvrouw en maakt heerlijke ontbijtjes. Daarnaast serveert ze heerlijke thee, en kan je een kookles bij haar volgen. Het was echt perfect en we zouden het iedereen aanraden. Nogmaals heel erg bedankt Jayanti :)

We had a wonderful stay at moksha! The staff was very friendly. The food very good at soul food restaurant, lots of healthy choices and I can only recommend the cappuccino with coconut milk! The best part is the stunning view to Lions rock, even from the room

I had a wonderful time staying at Sunrise Villa. The room was clean and lovely, the AC worked beautifully, and the surrounding garden was gorgeous. The host was very responsive and Latha was so kind, she helped make sure I felt right at home.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa as a group of 4 adults and 4 kids. Nestled among coconut trees and lush nature, we even saw peacocks roaming around - a magical sight for the kids! I wish I could add pictures to the review - the place is absolutely stunning. The staff were kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Huge thanks to Nalin for helping organise a memorable 5th birthday for my daughter with decorations and a lovely cake. The in-house chef was fantastic - every meal was fresh, delicious, and enjoyed by all. The villa is clean, spacious, and perfect for families, with 3 bedrooms each having its own en-suite bathroom. The last 1.5 km requires an SUV, especially after rain, but it's worth it for such a peaceful retreat. Nalin was always responsive and helpful. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to unwind in nature with great hospitality. Only minor feedback: clearer menu/pricing for meals and a few extra towels/toiletries would make it truly 5-star.

We had two nights in this beautiful place. The hosts are very friendly and flexible. You can also Rent a scooter for daytrips which is great. I recommend trying the awesome breakfast and Dinner. A very nice family and hosts.

Super Unterkunft, wir sind eine Nacht geblieben. Alles war zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Unser Gastgebern war sehr freundlich, hat uns auch zwei Fahrräder zu Verfügung gestellt um das Museum zu erkunden. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei, sehr nett. Wir wurden sogar am nächsten zum Busbahnhof gebracht. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Sumanasiri is an excellent host. He's very welcoming, friendly and helpful. He arranged a guide for a bicycle tour of the ancient city, cooked our breakfast and dinner and drove us to Kandy at the end of our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and well located; walking distance to the lake and a short cycle ride to the ancient city.

Wow, what a stunning property - it is beautiful and extremely peaceful. It is a bit outside the main town, which makes it a perfect place to stay if you want to be immersed in nature and more secluded from the crowds. It is located on one of the lakes that is part of the bird sanctuary, which makes for great bird watching over breakfast. There is a beautiful view of the lake and some of the stupas from the top deck (go up to see the stupas lit up at night). Our room was lovely, spacious and very clean. We had breakfast and dinner, and all the food was fantastic - perhaps the best food we had on our trip (and I’m Sri Lankan so I have a high standard). Everyone working at the property is incredibly kind and wants to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. It was very cool to hear about the owner’s family and the way their heritage influenced the beautiful design of the property. This is such a unique stay - you really feel like you are guests in a friend’s house.

Excellent accommodation close to Sigiriya. Clean, comfortable, and beautiful surroundings. Hosts were really welcoming and provided an excellent breakfast.

We had a great time at Sumanasiris house with our two kids. Everything was perfectly clean and thoughtfully set up (bottled water, mosquito nets…). Sumanasiri was a great host. He rented us bikes and had lots of tips for activities and offered to drive us. He was also super flexible with providing meals. On one occasion we accidentally caused a mess. Even though it was completely our fault Sumanasiri offered us a different room without hesitation.

Bardzo polecamy pobyt u Salindy i jego rodziny, są oni bardzo przyjaźni i pomocni, zaoferowali nam bardzo dobre śniadanie i kolację, udostępnili sprzęt do wyprania ubrań po safari, które swoją drogą organizują w dobrej cenie, wiec polecam skorzystać z usługi. Pokoje były czyste, klimatyzacja działała bez zarzutów.

It was our first hotel in Sri Lanka and couldn’t be better! Milan helped us with an early check-in with no hesitation. The room is simple but have everything you need for that price. The location is quiet and calm and have a direct access to the lake pathway. Milan also arranged for us two tours with tuktuk to Mihintale and the Sacred City of Anuradhapura, and even one to the bus station when we had to leave. We highly recommend this place!
