Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

A cosy, two bedroom, centrally heated unit. Enjoy the large geothermal hot pool after a long day. A full size pool table, smart tv, wifi. A small kitchenette for light meals and snacks, plus a we private cottage garden to enjoy native birds and trees. Taupo is 50 minutes drive from our home. We are in easy reach of some of NZ's' most stunning hikes. An Easy 40 minutes to Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro Crossing, local river walks, supermarket and eateries 10 mins. The interior of the cabin consists of a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and wood burner. The container has a cosy ambience with lots of light on a sunlit day. Large ranchsliders connect you to the natural world outside for hiking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing or mountain exploring. Walk across the road to dine or relax and cook at home.
