Ferienunterkünfte direkt am Strand in D'Estrees Bay

A lovely rustic place close to everything you would need to enjoy Kangaroo Island. We loved the beach front and the character of the cottage. The best part was the enclosed courtyard, which was the selling point upon booking and didn’t disappoint. We brought 3 small dogs with us and left them in the courtyard whilst exploring the island for a whole day and it was the best set up for us!. Although the cottage was very no frills, it still felt very comfortable and relaxing.

What a lovely beach house, you feel at home straight away. Kitchen well equipped, large deck for relaxing. Private and peaceful, only a couple minutes walk the beach. If you get up early enough you will be treated to beautiful sunrises whilst sipping your morning coffee. You might even get a visit from a kangaroo or two. A number of choices to stay at KI but we definitely picked the right one!

This place was even better than the photos, super clean, stylish, and in a perfect location. Loved the little touches like fresh coffee and local recommendations, it really made the stay special.

This is truly an amazing escape - no neighbours, no noise, just a beautiful home in a serene location. The sunsets are PERFECT, wildlife and if you are lucky go to the beach in the morning and watch the dolphins only a few metres from shore. If you want the escape to recharge and relax this is it.

What a gem! This cute Victorian cottage is modern and comfortable inside. We loved the location as Brownlow is close to the Kingscote shops and restaurants yet on a quiet typical inner beach; weedy but great for dog walking. Lovely hosts, Sabine and Kevin. Thanks.

Fantastic views and lots of space to spend out with multi generational family. Accessible beach and pier for fishing - we caught our dinner one night. Fun to watch the 3 resident Koalas in trees across the street and local kangaroos in surrounding yards.

My husand and i stayed here for 6 days and ended up eloping at the accommodation site! It is truly beautiful and there are plently of fish to catch at the beach. Our location host tony was truly amazing and went above and beyond to make the trip unforgettable! We plan to make this our anniverasy spot! 10/10 the place is perfect for two looking to imerse themseves in the island with almost panoramic views from the bed and an almost private beach, this is your spot!

Plenty of space in this house - large bedrooms and tv in main room. Missed not having electric blankets or a dishwasher but the house stay warm enough with the heater in the ceiling of the main room. Interesting how both the main bathroom and ensuite were at the same end of the house. A secure backyard if we had taken our dogs with us. No beach view but lovely to see/hear a variety of birds.

Lovely area, lots for the kids to do and safe. Close to the beach and a lovely walk along the beach to the Life Saving Club. House was nice but provisions in the kitchen very basic. We had a lovely weekend.

Perfect stay for the family! Villa was so nice and extremely clean, village in which it’s located was great for the kids. We all had a great time, would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay! Spacious and great location with good facilities for the kids, including pool and playground and plenty of open space for running, playing and scooting

Kirsty and Chris couldn’t be more hospitable. As more mature guests we appreciated Kirsty showing us the best way to access the path and steps down to the private beach. It was worth it to experience the sun setting and watch the resident pelican fishing in the surf. A highlight was the Kangaroos coming up to the terrace every evening to take the food left out. The property is first class. The pool area and the al fresco dining area are welcoming even though it was a little too cool to swim. The property is remote from shops etc but we stocked up beforehand and thus had no issues. We would certainly recommend Hawks Nest.

We loved our stay here, the communal areas on site are amazing and perfect for kids. The place was clean and the beds were very comfy!

Our third stay at Doyle's, and each time it feels like a home away from home. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful bush noises, modern amenities - this place has it all! So much space and plenty for everyone to do! The Starlink internet is SUPERFAST!! Thanks for that upgrade lol Special mention to Craig and Rachael, the wonderful custodians. They always go above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. This time they wrote a beautiful card for us that really touched our hearts! ❤️❤️❤️

Great location within the resort being private but not far from pool. Easy walk along the beach to Normanville.

Eva's place was nice and modern. The selection of amenities was nice and the location is very convenient to walk around the town of Kingscote.

Unbelievable magical beach location the pictures don’t do this amazing place justice. Everything you need incredible hidden restaurant next door in a massive Fig Tree. Port Lincoln Fishing Adventures absolutely amazing fishing charter Gavin and Alex were fantastic went home with an esky full fish . Again word don’t describe the senery breathtaking remarkable beautiful don’t do this place justice. If you have been my advice is just go … Enjoy

excellent stay ideally location for the ferry and nearby restaurant and shop. the host quick to respond to messages and clarified detail as I'm disabled and it was important to understand what the access to the property would be like. thanks for a great stay stay we would definitely stay again p

Marine Cottage was perfect. The view was spectacular with the beach directly in front. The house had everything we needed, was extremely clean and had personal touches like fresh eggs and water. The location is excellent for exploring the island. We walked and swam at the beach everyday. We will be back next year. Thanks Peter and Jo.

Great location overlooking the ocean. Home is well designed with windows taking advantage of light and views. Kitchen well stocked with everything one could need. Two bathrooms and two lounge areas made it a very enjoyable stay. Would love to stay again sometime. Thank you Christine.

Great place to stay, clean, voluminous and fully equiped. Perfect area in front of the beach. An extra bonus for the mattresses and the electric heated toppers.

Our experience at Shylies was outstanding, and we are already looking forward to our next visit, which is a reflection of the high quality of the accommodation. Located in close proximity to the ferry port, the property is easily accessible, and upon arrival, we were impressed by the peaceful and secluded surroundings. The accommodation exceeded our expectations in every way, and we particularly enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a bottle of wine, observing the local wildlife, and even spotting a few kangaroos. The property is exceptionally well-appointed and maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the bed linen was of exceptional quality. A highlight of our stay was the stunning private beach, accessible via a short walk from the property, which we enjoyed visiting every evening. We would like to thank Kate and Andy for accommodating us at short notice, and we look forward to returning soon.

Wow! This is the most accurate way to describe the experience we had at Stones Throw. We (3 generations of 1 family) loved the house. It’s the beach house you wish you had, with a great layout and an amazing fit out and Emily has thought of everything - she even arranged an Easter egg hunt for our 2 kids because it was the week before Easter! We will definitely be returning if we make it back to KI.
