With the TT course a mile north, and shops and pub 1/3 mile south, its the perfect retreat from watching the racing or exploring the island. Within easy walking distance is the sandy beach at the Promenade, the pretty harbour, the village's Isle of Man Steam Railway station and groceries, local shops, restaurants and cafes. The rest of the island is easy to discover from here too, as a bus stop is located just around the corner!

Ideal if you love peaceful countryside location with wild birds and rabbits yet want to be a walking distance to shopping and entertainment, or TT course. Good base for exploring the island, with private parking and easy access to bus and train station, as well as footpaths. Dolls House annex has private entrance and outdoor sitting/dining area. Cooked breakfast may be provided at request although many delicious eateries are only a 10 min walk. Self check-in. Strictly no smokers.

Curlew

Dive into the history of this unique property. During WW2, Curlew cottage was part of the RAF Dalby site, and used as the NAAFI Kitchen and NAAFI Staff Quarters for those working in the receiving blocks (where they remain today). This formed a passive defence system that used steel-guyed transmitting masts and a pair of timber receiving towers, situated on the land by the sea, to to create maximum dispersal and deception.
