What a magical place to stay! The views and location were incredible and the house itself was so clean and well appointed. It was our wedding anniversary during our stay and we had lovely surprises waiting for us upon our arrival, which made our celebration extra special - very thoughtful and generous of our hosts! We had the most wonderful time in Portree and on Skye and can’t thank David, Alexander and Katherine enough for their kindness, hospitality and for sharing their beautiful home with us ❤️

A stunning view and lovely cottage. Alan is very communicative and gave descriptive directions. Easy enough to find with navigation. You will need to bring all food and spices needed for cooking. Couldn’t find hair dryer as listed, but no big deal since it was so windy anyway. Be sure to visit Yurtea&Coffee right down the road, fabulous place.

What a fantastic place. We wanted somewhere to stay where we could make use of our paddle board & kayak and this was the perfect venue. Easy access to a fantastic quiet loch to enjoy the scenery. The hot tub & sauna were a very welcome treat after a day on the loch. Great location for exploring the highlands with Ben Nevis only 15 minutes away. The accommodation was excellent with absolutely everything you could need, from a lovely Scottish breakfast pack to gorgeous toiletries. The added bonus for us as a family was use the of BBQ hut. Would highly recommend and I’m sure we will be back.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at Jim’s place. Wish we could have stayed longer. He had thought of everything and it was a real home from home. Very close to town and the ferry terminal. Heated up really quickly and was so cosy we didn’t need the wood burner. Comfy beds and couches. The outside space was an added bonus. Thanks Jim, we hope to return some day!

Outstanding lodge in very beautiful surroundings. Extremely quiet, all you can hear are the birds. Lodge was spotlessly clean with a wonderful across the Loch. Comfy bed with quality bed linen. Great shower and plenty of hot water. The kitchen was very stocked with utensils and pans etc and a few basics to get you started. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Joy was very responsive at all times.

We had a brilliant stay in Hebrides Cottage, owner Janice was excellent with her quick, helpful communication….we found everything we could possibly want or need was provided…..it was exceptionally clean. The cottage was in a fantastic peaceful location, the views from the bedrooms and kitchen were absolutely amazing. We visited local restaurants in Stornoway, and it was very easy to drive in to go to a variety of small shops and get supplies from the large Tesco and Co-op supermarkets. We visited many local sites, Callanish Stones, Dun Calloway - the best preserved Broch, Gearrannan Blackhorse, Butt of Lewis, Lews Castle and the very informative museum about Hebridean island life, we will definitely come back to stay again. Thank you Janice for a great stay.

We were very happy about our choice of cottage; particularly as it is pet friendly. Our hosts were very proactive in terms of communication - it was good to be warned about being well prepared in terms of provisions - no nearby shops! The cottage is wonderfully peaceful which suited us; it was also wonderfully warm - especially the bathroom with its heated floor; this made the cottage an excellent retreat on the one day of bad weather that we had , if necessary the bathroom could have been used as a drying room! We enjoyed the space; properties with just one bedroom can be cramped but as the photos show, there is a table with 4 chairs in the kitchen; the lounge has two sofas and in the bedroom you can easily walk on both sides of the bed. The bedroom has generous storage. The surrounding garden is a delight. Another reason for choosing Blossom Cottage was that it was reasonably close to the Three Chimneys restaurant. There are many excellent walks nearby, some of which we enjoyed.

Sally’s place was spotlessly clean and welcoming! She has set it up so that you feel you are visiting family. I loved the cookbooks and great novels she has throughout the house. A good rainy day activity. Sally gave great information on getting there and things to do! We were able to easily drive to all the places of interest on Skye from the house. This is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting!

Très agréable séjour à la campagne au milieu des animaux et de la nature. L’emplacement permet de visiter une bonne partie de l’île de Skye en voiture à partir du logement. Marie est d’une grande gentillesse, d’une grande disponibilité et vraiment réactive et joignable. Je recommande …. Ainsi que l’île de Skye dont je ne me lasse jamais !
