Edgar es un anfritrión excelente, una persona muy amable y servicial, siempre atento a las necesidades del huésped. El lugar es tal como se describe, inmensamente pacífico, donde se respira paz y tranquilidad. Las cabaña están muy bien acondicionadas y cuentan con todo lo básico para una estadía corta, o una un poco más prolongada. El espacio amplio, cómo y muy bien organizado.

If you are looking for an out of the way escape from the city and a real country or “finca” experience, this is your place. However, I would recommend driving or renting an SUV with decent ground clearance. The place is very easy to find with Waze GPS or Google Maps by searching “Hato the Farm”. No four wheel drive needed, but the dirt road to the place has spots where a low car will definitely scrap bottom if you’re not careful. The dirt road is maintained and used by the municipality and locals, so it’s not impassible. We rented a car at the airport to get there, and everything went well, but if you’re not used to dirt roads and winding roads, this will be a learning experience! :-) The place itself was an open floor plan with plenty of space to sleep 12+ people. Everything was clean and well maintained and the local caretaker (Sonia) was extremely sweet and helpful for all our needs. If you’re lucky and nice enough :-) , she can point you to local spots for swimming and hiking that are off the beaten path and empty of people, but full of amazing views, cold mountain water for swimming, and a true Colombian countryside experience that was enjoyable and as safe as any place I’ve visited. The local tienda (general store) will deliver without cost of delivery for whatever food and drink you need, although tipping the delivery boy is a good idea. The property had many different varieties of fruit trees, which we were invited to pick for super and delicious fresh orange juice in the morning or whatever else you can pick. Overall, staying in Manuel’s place was an amazing and relaxing experience and we will return and rent the place again! Although, we’ll make sure to get a vehicle with higher ground clearance for the road up.

Excelente espacio para el descanso, desconectarse del día a día y disfrutar del paisaje. Es hermoso despertar con el canto de los pájaros, el clima es muy agradable, hay muchas cosas por hacer, los lugareños son muy amables. La casa es tal cual las fotos, estaba impecable los anfitriones muy amables y atentos a lo que necesitábamos, nos recomendaron los tours de la región los cuales disfrutamos mucho. Cerca al lugar se encuentra un restaurante con personas muy amables, venden una comida deliciosa y ayudan con lo que uno necesita. Un lugar para repetir muchas veces. Gracias por todo.
